New Beginnings

Hello and welcome! I’m so excited to be announcing my new website and blog! I have been thinking about doing this for a while now and finally decided to just jump in (because why wait?). I have absolutely no idea how to properly design a website so I’ve been struggling through Squarespace for a few days trying to get it all worked out. I THINK I have it sorted now though…

I have a lot of ideas for what I want to happen here. My main goal is to blog about my current projects and the fiber community in general. I want to share information about other makers that inspire me and that I look up to, products that I love, places that I love, as well as patterns and tutorials for knitting and other crafting techniques. I have previously worked on some YouTube projects, but I want to reimagine my learn to knit series (that I abandoned) and cut it into smaller and more palatable videos (less talking, more instructional).

Lately, I have been sharing more tutorial style videos on Instagram, but they’re very short/quick videos for the IG Reels format and are less helpful for beginners. I’ve had a few requests for some easier to follow tutorials to be posted on YouTube, so I’m going to work on filming some of those now that I’ve worked out a better equipment set up for seeing my hands.

I’m hoping to feature interviews with other makers and creators as well, but I haven’t exactly reached out to any of them yet (I do have a few in mind). I’m planning to put together a newsletter, but I’m still working out the best format for that as well. Feel free to sign up for the newsletter updates and once I figure that out you’ll receive any post updates and special offers through there. I’m low key working on a pattern design for a cabled hat/scarf/mitt set that will most likely be something I release for free on this site, but that’s still a ways off.

I am on a total hiatus from dyeing yarn at this time, anything available in my shop is the last stock that I have. I am focusing my shop more on readymade knit items at this time. This doesn’t mean that I will never have yarn updates in the future, but there definitely won’t be any anytime soon. I currently do not have bare yarn on hand and don’t plan on making a wholesale order for the near future.
